Style By Karen Business Cards

Style By Karen Business Cards

Branding, Strategy, & Print Design

Project Details

Karen’s goal was to create a business card that could be left at coffee shops but still clearly show what she does. By adding a full-size image to one side, it can easily be pinned up on a board showing that she offers fashion advice in a few seconds. After a closer look at the card, you can also see she offers skincare and accessories.

Raiatea Helm Website

Raiatea Helm

Branding/Web Development & Design

Overview

Over the last 10 years, the music industry had a major shift in the way artists make money. Traditionally speaking, an artist would create albums and generate revenue from its sales. Today, it’s not as easy for musicians to make money.

Raiatea Helm, like many vocalists, started to focus on performances rather than selling music. To reflect this change, we helped rebuild her brand and website to cater to clients who would hire her for music performances around the world.

Project Details

In addition to refocussing Helm’s brand to cater to a different audience, we also included Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on her new WordPress website. As one of Hawaii’s leading female vocalists, it was important to use keywords so Helm would appear on popular Google searches for “Hawaiian female vocalists.”

Outcomes

Helm’s website has increased in its visibility on Google not only locally but nationally. She now appears in Position Zero for “Femail Hawaiian Vocalist” and up top for “Femail Hawaiian Singer.” We’re so excited to see where Helm takes here career next. Other than continuing to work with the youth in her area she plans on starting to teach.

Clark College Website

Clark College Website

information architecture, branding & UI research

Overview

Clark College wanted to research ways to make its website more user-friendly during a brand refresh in 2016. The goal was to recreate a homepage that would appeal to prospective students.

Project Details

Lindsey’s contributions to the Clark College rebrand and website redesign, included information architecture, homepage mockups, sub-page department mockups, OUCampus designs, rebranding implementation, and UI research for a better online experience.

Outcomes

Lindsey’s research included discoveries using columns to display more text on one page, eliminating PDF documents for ADA accommodations, using accordion style boxes to hide and show text, interactive videos, and images to engage the user and limited options on the homepage. Eventually, this research would lead to the redesign of the school website and several department pages.
